Mr. Loretz brings a wealth of experience and expertise ideally suited to fulfill the responsibilities of this position. He will direct all federal programs including English Language Learning (ELL), bilingual education, Title I and services to students in homeless situations, as well as oversee charter schools. Most recently, Mr. Loretz worked for the Oregon Department of Education as a leadership coach with recipients of federally funded school improvement grants. He is a former ODE federal program specialist, school principal and district director of school improvement. Mr. Loretz has a proven track record of leadership in curriculum, instruction, English language learning and migrant programs and is well known across the state for his expertise in professional development, school-wide planning, and grant management.
