How would you change education? That’s the question the Oregon City community is grappling with as the district plans an education system to fit 21st century needs.
The district gathered survey responses from over 900 community members to determine education priorities. They also held a community conversation about the film Most Likely to Succeed, with over 150 in attendance. An Education Design Committee of students, staff, and parents will soon draft a proposal to present to the community later this year.
“As bond funding provides the opportunity to build and renovate schools, we must also consider what skills and knowledge students need for careers of the future,” said Assistant Superintendent Kyle Laier.
