Todd Nicholson has been selected as the next Director of Special Services, effective July 1, 2019. He is currently serving as Administrator for Special Programs at Beaverton School District. Nicholson has a Masters of Science in School Psychology from Lewis & Clark College and School Administrator credential from Portland State University.
“I am thrilled for the opportunity to work at Oregon City School District. I look forward to supporting students and families of all needs as well as ensuring that our teaching staff has the resources and practices needed to increase student achievement,” said Nicholson. “I believe in an educational experience that works for everyone.”
As the Director of Special Services, Nicholson will oversee support programs for students with disabilities as prescribed by federal and state law. The department works to develop individualized education plans in conjunction with parents and provides for the least restrictive learning settings for students with special needs.
Nicholson also works as an adjunct professor at Lewis and Clark College, is the father of two grown children, and when not working, he enjoys skiing, camping, longboarding, and spending time with his family.
