Adapted Physical Education (APE) is developmentally appropriate physical education that addresses the individualized needs of students who struggle with gross motor developmental delays. APE may include adapting, modifying, and/or changing a physical activity so that it is appropriate for the student to be successful in their educational environment.

APE SwimOregon City Schools offer adapted physical education in swimming (APE Swim) to students who meet the criteria.
