- Experience working with families and community members as a district liaison

- A commitment to social justice and equitable outcomes for all students;

- A commitment to a safe and welcoming schools for all students;

- Demonstrated ability to work and cultivate relationships with diverse constituencies, including principals, teachers, school staff, and community;

Job Goal:

This position serves as a resource to support district goals to improve inclusive and welcoming environments in all district facilities. The position prioritizes school-family engagement & partnership and must demonstrate a commitment and priority of services to marginalized populations of color and the support of differentiated approaches for their equitable participation and success in Oregon City schools and the community at large. The position will work with long-term planning/implementation of district wide equity work, serving on the District Equity Leadership Team and planning staff/community events that highlight equitable practices and resources for all families. Long term goals include developing a district welcome center to support Oregon City families, further developing PAC groups in all schools K-12, and the training of district staff in equitable practices. This position reports to the Director of Teaching & Learning.

Performance Responsibilities:

- Support and provide parent education opportunities for district families, including the leadership and support of the Family Focus Forum, EL Family Night, and building level events as applicable.

- Support the delivery and implementation of equitable instructional practices through leading professional development with all district staff (certified, classified, and administration). This includes the leadership and support of the District Equity Conference as well as other building level trainings.

- Network and partnership with local community services and organizations around Clackamas County, including serving on committees such as OC Together & the Pre-school Network.

- Support, collaborate, and inform school & district communication strategies and organization to reach all levels of our population. Strategize Interpretation/translation services to improve access for all students and families.

- Provide ongoing support/training to schools and secretaries about services available and differentiated ways to communicate/engage with families as the first point of contact.

- Provide direct support to migrant program/expansion (CESD) and Title III services.
