Student Records Clerk/Receptionist
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge of data entry in current Windows database applications and experience with other microcomputer applications.
2. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
3. Knowledge of modern office practices, business English, spelling, punctuation, and arithmetic.
4. Ability to communicate with students, staff and the public, using tact and discretion.
5. High school diploma or the equivalent.
6. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO:
Director of Special Services
SUPERVISES:
None
JOB GOAL:
The ability to construct and maintain accurate and complete student records, including educational and medical information.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform varied office functions including receptionist, clerical, secretarial, and bookkeeping duties.
2. Communicate with students, staff, and the public, using tact and discretion.
3. Create, manage, and manipulate databases for managing student information.
4. Merge database information with other document information as required.
5. Write programs/control documents, recording on storage disks.
6. Complete medical billing procedures, including data entry, electronic submission, and auditing of batch reports.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
As agreed. Salary to be established by the labor agreement and ratified by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Director of Special Services in accordance with the Board's policy on evaluation.
