Testing Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of both Mac and PC computer systems.
2. Knowledge of Oregon Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (OAKS) program, and Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBAC) preferred.
3. Knowledge of sound, practical office practices.
4. Ability to communicate with students, staff and the public, using tact and discretion.
5. Ability to follow directions, work independently, work a flexible schedule and adapt to a variety of assignments.
6. Must respect confidential information and reports.
7. High school diploma or the equivalent required.
8. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
9. Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.

SUPERVISES:

JOB GOAL:
The individual accepting this assignment will perform varied office functions and serve as coordinator for Common Core testing (SBAC), and OAKS testing and assessments. This position involves tracking of all SBAC and OAKS test results and distributing them to staff members, organizing and coordinating the use of the computer testing lab and other non-computerized statewide assessments, and tracking of all high school student’s progress toward meeting the State requirements. This individual works closely with students and teachers to make sure the student meets necessary requirements for graduation.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides reports to parents at conferences and mailings twice a year.
2. Provide reports to TOSA’s and key staff members regarding SBAC and OAKS ODE testing standards, dates, changes, etc.
3. Sets up opportunities for students to complete work samples.
4. Meet regularly with students regarding their state testing progress.
5. Responsible to coordinate state testing of our Alternative schools.
6. Process incoming transfer student files and send state test results to ESD.
7. Work with students needing assistance with their statewide assessments.
8. Utilizing computer skills to problem-solve and troubleshoot technology problems.
9. May be asked to work a flexible schedule during peak testing times.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
As agreed. Salary to be established by the collective bargaining agreement and ratified by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the building administrator in accordance with the Board's policy on evaluation.
