Extended Day Program Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
At least one year of experience in a supervisory capacity with children in a group setting such as classroom, day care, recreation, or latch key.
Two years of training in education, early childhood development, physical education, or recreation.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Familiarity of administrative structure and operations of a school district.
Ability to work well with school Principals and other staff.
Ability to problem solve and resolve conflicts involving children, parents and staff.
Able to train and supervise a staff of approximately twenty-five employees.

Community Services Supervisor
SUPERVISES:
Other staff and volunteers as directed.
JOB GOAL:
To plan, organize and supervise activities designed to meet the physical, emotional and intellectual needs, and to assure the care and safety of children enrolled in the Extended Day program.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Enforce policies, rules and regulations of the Extended Day program as approved by the School Board and the Community School office.
2. Develop daily programs which include a mixture of enrichment classes and recreational activities.
3. Supervise and evaluate other hired and volunteer staff members and coordinate their activities.
4. Keep accurate and complete records of attendance, insurance, health, etc.
5. Determine supplies and equipment required for the program, and oversee correct use of such items.
6. Maintain and leave activity areas in neat, clean condition.
7. Inform Community School Supervisor of unusual problems, or when parent-teacher conferences are warranted.
8. Assist in program evaluation and development to improve quality and implement new ideas.
9. Responsible for scheduling staff training sessions.
10. Responsible for monitoring and evaluating programs and staff at each school.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
As contracted.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Community Services Supervisor.
