The Oregon City School District has partnered with the Oregon City Public Library to provide students with library cards!

Starting with the 2024-25 school year, all Oregon City School District students will be able to register for a LINCC Student Library Card as part of the school registration process through a new Student Library Card partnership program offered by OCSD and the Oregon City Public Library.

All new and returning student paperwork in ParentVue, our district’s parent portal, will include a form asking if the family would like to sign their student up for a free Student Library Card. Once registration forms are completed, digital library cards will automatically be created using the student’s ID number and other information parents agree to share from their school account.

Cards will go live starting on September 1, 2024 and will be active through August 31, 2025. Once students are enrolled in the program, they will have year-round library card access as long as parents renew their participation each year using the same form in ParentVue. Students will be able to check out up to 5 items at a time, place up to 5 holds at a time, and access all library digital resources. There will be no late fees charged on items checked out to Student Library Card accounts.

To sign your OCSD student up for a Student Library Card, complete the form in ParentVue by August 31, 2024. If you have trouble finding the form or would like to update your form, please contact your student’s school.

If you have any questions about the Student Library Card program, please contact library staff at childrens@orcity.org.
