Technology Integration Mentor (TIM)
As a district, OCSD recognizes the need for students in the 21st century to learn to think critically while learning about and with technology. To support teachers’ ability to design lessons with that end in mind, Technology Integration Mentors (TIMs) will work in each building in the following capacity:
Attend and actively participate in monthly meetings of the TIMs.
Act as a communications link between the building staff and District Technology Coordinator regarding curriculum and technology integration issues in the classroom.
Demonstrate knowledge of instructional practices with digital tools; attending workshops and classes as appropriate to facilitate their own learning.
Act as a resource to the District Technology Coordinator and building administrator in determining goals and in-service needs with respect to technology.
Provide on-going training to building staff on effective integration of digital tools in instruction in order to build capacity among staff.
Act as an instructional coach with expertise in the field of technology integration.
Other duties as assigned.
