ODOT Safety Driver Education Class
We accept any student from any district as long as they are 15 with a permit. The Oregon City Driver Education class is a safety course. This class is to teach your student how to be safe in the car, this is not a class that teaches your student how to drive. Your student must have 10-15 hours of practice driving with an adult once they receive their permit prior to attending our class.
Parent Night / Student Night MANDATORY MEETING
The Oregon City Police Department's traffic division gives a presentation that shows all the different forms of distracted driving and how your student can be a good passenger when driving with their friends. He also covers some of the Oregon state statutes pertaining to new drivers ages 15-17 years old.
Sometimes the Municipal Court Judge in Oregon City attends to give parents and students a judges perspective.
Suz Figini, the program coordinator will go over the parent/student expectations and the forms parents and students will be using during the program.
Parent/Student Presentation Night for Driver Education (Parent must register for this) - Sign up for this class at time of registration.
This video can be reviewed to go over any topics discussed at the parent meeting.
