Accounting Clerk
qualifications:
1. Knowledge of methods, practices and terminology used in financial clerical work.
2. Knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
3. Minimum of two (2) years post-high school coursework earning an Associate’s degree in business and/or accounting or have equivalent experience.
4. Must have accounting/bookkeeping experience.
5. Must work harmoniously with staff in a team setting.
6. Ability to accurately maintain employee and/or financial records.
7. Ability to make routine computation and tabulations with speed and accuracy.
8. Ability to apply basic accounting principles in maintaining control records and preparation of financial documents.

job goal:
Under the direction of the Fiscal Services Coordinator and the CFO to maintain all accounting systems efficiently and expeditiously for the benefit of the District.
performance responsibilities:
1. Process mileage and tuition reimbursement for district employees.
2. Operate software applications for all general ledger accounting functions.
3. Record all journal and ledger entries promptly and accurately.
4. Maintain accurate invoicing system for accounts receivable.
5. Assist Accounts Payable Clerk and Fiscal Services Coordinator.
6. Prepare and maintain all utility records including processing invoices.
7. Process and maintain all petty cash and cash box transactions.
8. Maintain deposit records of district nutrition program.
9. Prepare daily deposits.
10. Processing of district employee’s conference request forms and assisting Buyer with reservations.
11. Maintain confidentiality of all School District transactions.
terms of employment:
Twelve-month year, as agreed. Salary and work year to be established by the labor agreement and ratified by the Board of Education.
evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Fiscal Services Coordinator and the CFO in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation.
