Finance Clerk
qualifications:
1. Knowledge of methods, practices and terminology used in financial accounting and payroll.
2. Knowledge and experienced use of Microsoft Office Suite and Crystal Reports software.
3. Prefer knowledge of Infinite Visions software.
4. Associate Degree in Accounting or related field.
5. Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field, preferred.
6. Must have multiple years of accounting and/or payroll experience in a medium to large organization.
7. Must work harmoniously with staff in an open, team setting.
8. Ability to accurately and confidentially maintain employee and/or financial records.
9. Capability to succeed in a stressful and demanding environment
10.Ability to make complex computations and tabulations with speed and accuracy.
11.Ability to apply accounting principles in maintaining control records and preparation of financial documents and automated reports.

job goal:
Under the direction of the Business Manager to maintain all accounting and payroll systems efficiently and expeditiously in a team setting.
performance responsibilities:
1. Assist payroll staff in monthly payroll and benefits tasks as well as special projects.
2. Maintain a complete and systematic set of records for outstanding encumbrances.
3. Operate software and reporting applications for all general ledger accounting functions.
4. Design and maintain financial reporting system for schools and departments.
5. Assist Accountant as needed to maintain accounting records and grant funds.
6. Assist Business Manager in budget development and special projects.
7. Assist Accounts Payable Clerk as needed.
8. Post daily bank activity.
9. Reconcile General Ledger accounts as directed.
10. Maintain confidentiality of all School District transactions.
11. Operate accurately and efficiently Microsoft Windows based software applications including Infinite Visions, MS Office, Crystal Reports and other office equipment.
12. Assist in archival of district financial records.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
terms of employment:
Twelve-month year, as agreed. Salary and work year to be established by the Board of Education.

Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Business Manager in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation.
