Human Resources Specialist


QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Three years of progressively responsible experience supplemented by college-level course work.

2. Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.

3. Bilingual preferred, but not required.

4. Excellent computer skills and familiarity Google Suite

5. Notary public preferred.

6. Have or can develop working knowledge of PMFLI and OFLA/FMLA.

Director of Human Resources

SUPERVISES:

None

JOB GOAL:

Performs a variety of duties for the Human Resources Department.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

An employee in this classification may perform any of the following duties. However, these examples do not include all the specific tasks which an employee may be expected to perform.

1. Post job openings and process hires for staff.

2. Issue and process added duty contracts.

3. Onboard new staff

4. Assist employees in utilizing and accessing employee benefits and leaves.

5. Work collaboratively with the Payroll Department.

6. Serve as backup to District Office Receptionist.

7. Perform work with speed and accuracy.

8. Knowledge of licensed and classified contract language and ability to interpret when necessary.

9. Plan, organize and complete assigned complex tasks in a timely fashion.

10. Perform duties using independent initiative and judgment and to use resourcefulness, courtesy and tact when working with the public, district employees and parent groups.

11. Must respect confidential information.

12. Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.

13. Perform other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Twelve-month year, eight (8) hours per day.

SALARY:

Range 16

EVALUATION:

The performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Director of Human Resources in accordance with the Board's policy on evaluation.
