Maintenance Secretary
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation and arithmetic.
2. Knowledge of sound, practical office practices.
3. Ability to type with speed and accuracy.
4. Knowledge of data processing required. Knowledge of computer spreadsheets and data bases preferred.
5. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
6. Ability to learn assigned secretarial tasks readily and adhere to prescribed routines.
7. Ability to work harmoniously with students, staff, and the public.
8. High diploma or equivalent.
REPORTS TO:
Facilities Services Supervisor
SUPERVISES:
None
JOB GOAL:
Performs the duties of secretary and receptionist for the Maintenance Department, performing functions of a wide variety and complexity.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs duties of a secretary/receptionist.
2. Schedules substitute custodians and locksmiths for all District buildings.
3. Types work orders and purchase orders.
4. Obtains price quotes and information needed for proper requisitioning and purchasing.
5. Keeps updated records of budget work completed.
6. Orders materials as directed.
7. Maintains required records.
8. Receives telephone calls, giving limited, non-technical information to those requesting it.
9. Performs related duties as directed by the supervisors.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
As agreed. Salary to be established by the labor agreement and ratified by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Facilities Services Supervisor in accordance with the Board's policy on evaluation.
