OCHS Bookkeeper/Receptionist


QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Knowledge of modern office methods, practices and procedures, business English, spelling, and arithmetic.

2. Ability to perform clerical work with speed and accuracy.

3. Ability to type 50 wpm from clean, legible copy.

4. Ability to use computer for electronic spreadsheets.

5. Ability to carry out and give oral and written directions.

6. Ability to maintain effective relationships with students, staff members, and the general public.

7. Must respect confidential information.

8. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

REPORTS TO:

Building Principal

SUPERVISES:

This position does not normally carry with it the supervision of other personnel. Employee may be asked to supervise student assistants.

JOB GOAL:

Performs as the receptionist and bookkeeper and coordinates teacher substitutes for the Senior Campus.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performs as the Senior Campus receptionist.

2. Coordinates all substitutes for the Senior Campus.

3. Receipts all monies from students and staff, including all fund raisers.

4. Banks monies daily.

5. Write all purchase orders for school needs.

6. Produces the payroll substitute report.

7. Responsible for Senior Campus payroll for all staff.

8. Distributes all mail.

9. Collects all fees from students and clears all fines/fees for seniors before diplomas are issued.

10. Receives and distributes incoming freight.

11. Gives final clearance on all withdrawing students.

12. Performs other related duties as directed.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

As agreed. Salary to be established by the labor agreement and ratified by the Board of Education.

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Building Principal in accordance with the Board's policy on evaluation.
