OCHS Student Body Accountant


QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or the equivalent.

2. Minimum of two years of experience as a full- charge bookkeeper, preferably a computerized system.

3. Ability to maintain a double-entry bookkeeping system.

4. Ability to work with a computerized system.

5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Principal and Business Manager

SUPERVISES:

None

JOB GOAL:

To assist in the administration of the high school student body affairs so as to provide the maximum services for the financial resources available.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintains a complete and systematic set of records of all financial transactions of the student body fund.

2. Records detail of school financial transactions in appropriate journals and subsidiary ledgers from such sources as requisitions, etc.

3. Summarizes and balances entries recorded in individual journals and ledgers, and transfers data to general ledgers.

4. Prepares financial statements, income statements, and cost reports to reflect financial condition of the fund.

5. Traces errors and records adjustment to correct charges or credits posted to incorrect amounts.

6. Computes and records cash receipt summaries.

7. Reconciles cancelled checks with bank statements and verifies bank balance with statements.

8. Prepares monthly financial statement for principal and central office.

9. Assists club advisors in establishing recordkeeping guidelines for fundraising activities.

10. Performs other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Eleven-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the labor agreement and ratified by the Board of Education.

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation.
