Registrar


QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

2. Knowledge of modern office methods, practices and procedures, business English, spelling and arithmetic.

3. Knowledge of transcripts, graduation credit requirements and diploma types.

4. Computer experience with grading systems, and building master schedules. Synergy preferred.

5. Ability to work independently and adapt to a wide variety of assignments.

6. Ability to maintain effective public relations and respect confidential information.

7. A minimum of two years of experience with scheduling in a school counseling office.

8. Must have the ability to take direction appropriately, changing tasks as necessary.

9. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

REPORTS TO:

Building Principal and/or Counseling department chair.

SUPERVISES:

This position does not normally have responsibilities regarding the supervision of other personnel. Employee may be asked to supervise student assistants.

JOB GOAL:

Perform or supervise the performance of varied office functions with confidentiality. The use of independent judgment and decision making is sometimes required in matters not having established rules, regulations or policies. Communications with students, staff and the public requires the use of tact and discretion.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Complies with Federal, State, and/or District Policies regarding confidentiality, enrollment of students, release of information, and record retention.

2. Builds and maintains master schedule, and balances course selections.

3. Transfers, updates, and maintains all student transcripts and credit requirements.

4. Responsible for printing and distribution of progress reports and diplomas.

5. Prepares and submits graduate lists and reports to central office and education agencies when requested.

6. Assists parents, visitors, and students with School and Counseling related questions/concerns in timely and professional manner.

7. Attends and assists at graduation

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

As agreed. Salary to be established by the labor agreement and ratified by the Board of Education.

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the administrator in accordance with the Board's policy on evaluation.
